Ministry overview
Founded by Richard & Stephanie Hackett, Sea Mercy has a dream and plan to operate free floating health care clinics for the remote islands in the South Pacific. Growing from 1 vessel in 2013, we now have 3 vessels committed for the 2014, and 5 for the 2015. With 11 island nations targeted, we serve only their remote islands that do not have any health care services available.
The Sea Mercy’s vision is to be the most effective preventive, curative, promotional and rehabilitative floating health care provider to remote islanders in the South Pacific. Our mission is therefore to ensure our community sector has the practical tools and talent available to accomplish those visionary ends.
To accomplish this in the short term we will provide floating health clinics to needy populations. To effect long term community improvement, we work to increase awareness of the health issues facing these vulnerable populations.
