Conference 2025 – UK – Passage Planning
From the 10th to 14th April
The theme for Kings Fleet 2025 is “Passage Planning”
A good passage plan always involves three things:
Planning, Execution and Monitoring.
Come prepared to seek God together, as we consider what He has asked each of us to do. How we can fulfil those plans, and what we need to monitor as we sail the route that He has laid out for us in maritime ministry.
There will be lots of time to Connect, Encourage and Support each other, so that none of us are working alone in our individual ministries, as we advance the 'The Kings Fleet' together!
The Venue
We have booked a large Victorian country residence surrounded by 18 acres of woodland, which sleeps over a hundred people.
It has fire pits, an indoor pool and various meeting rooms.
It will be an amazing place to be together and we would love to fill it! This is the place to meet others, be inspired and trained for maritime missions.
Worship
John Bollen, (who some of you will remember from the 2022 conference in Greece), has agreed to come and lead worship. He has a real anointing and we know that he will be a great blessing as leads us into the Lord’s presence. Come prepared to meet with God through our times of worship.
Teaching
We are thrilled to announce that Gary Spicer will be speaking at Kings Fleet 2025.
I (Cameron), met Gary in the year 2000, whilst he was pastor of a church that was donated the 90ft Gaff Schooner Genevieve. Today he is the Executive Director for Grace Foundation, the Founding Pastor of Mosaic Church Coventry and the Executive Director for Imagine The Day Ltd that runs The Lions A programme which helps to develop Christian pioneers and entrepreneurs.
Gary has a wealth of experience and will bring challenging, helpful and creative ministry, which we know will be an encouragement and support to you, and your ministry.
Morning Star Trust
The Morning Star Trust will be bringing all their boats to the island for the duration of the conference, so that approximately 20 of us, can go sailing each afternoon, for times of sharing, fun and team building.
If you are interested in this, please tick the box on the signup form to help us with planning.
Cut price maritime training!
Day Skipper / Competent Crew Courses
Immediately after the conference, the trust are generously running Day Skipper and Competent Crew courses, specifically for anyone, in or wanting to enter, maritime missions work.
They are offering these at the vastly reduced rate of £375 (Usual price £700) to help Kings Fleet members develop their skills for maritime mission. (Food and Accommodation on board included).
Remember you can work on your Day Skipper Theory remotely, over the winter, using the Kings Fleet 25% discount from Ardent Training. So you are ready to get the most from the course!
This is a great way to start getting trained in the practical aspect of boat ministries, so please spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested, we would love to see the boats full of new ministry crew!
Registration
We have to make payments in advance this year, so it would help us if you would complete the registration form and make the payment as soon as you are able.
The cost is £216 per person for the four days including food, accommodation and tax. We appreciate this is more than some years; we don’t own this property and it is the most affordable / suitable place that we can find.
We don’t want anyone to be unable to join us because of finance, so if you cannot pay the full amount, please contact us and we will try to help. Equally, if you are able to contribute a little more, then please let us know, or simply add it to your payment, so we can pass on the blessing to someone in need.
Travel
We will send out a seperate email with travel information, and how to get discounted ferry fares to the Isle of Wight.
In the meantime:
If you are coming by boat, we recommend berthing at East Cowes Marina.
If you are travelling by air, we recommend flying into London Gatwick, Southampton or Bournemouth Airport.
(There are also good connections from the other London airports, it will just take a bit longer.)
Passport and ETA needed!
If you are travelling from the EU remember that following Brexit, you need a passport to visit the UK. There is still time to arrange this.
By April 25 you will also require an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
You will be able to easily buy this online and the cost will be £10
